I wanted to envision an overbearing, intimidating monster, and took inspiration from a mixture of carnivorous plants and insects.

I was aiming for a creature that would move in an almost unpredictable, erratic way and look really creepy when chasing after the player(s). You're not meant to be sure what the markings mean or even how it senses your presence. People fear the unknown and that's what I'm going for with this.

Haha that knight is like, "Shti, I knew i should've assembled a party for this."

More than anything, i like it's stance. It's a spidery, hulking stance that really adds contrast between the man and the beast; you can immediately tell who is predator and who is prey.
